About Us
Our family left the big city and bought a turn-of-the-century farmhouse on 24 acres atop Sand Mountain in Dekalb County, Alabama. We quickly fell in love with the rolling pastures, endearing wildlife, and gorgeous grand oak trees. We felt God leading us to share this amazing place so others could have a place to relax and see the beauty God's created at Grand Oaks Farm.
Without delay, we hand-tilled a mile of earth for planting lavender in June 2021 and quickly got to planting. We now have three different lavender gardens around the farm for the community to enjoy and look forward to having lavender syrup and other specialty treats available from the farm too!
In addition to creating a special place for people to visit on the farm, we have also written a collection of children's stories called: Grand Times at Grand Oaks featuring each of the woodland creatures we have encountered at Grand Oaks.
